Bed and Breakfast in Kandy

Rainbow Tours has “Bed & Breakfast” accommodation available for those visiting Kandy, either as part of one of our tours or on an independent longer stay basis. There are 2 double rooms with amongst the best views on offer near Kandy and spacious sitting/dining rooms on both floors are available to guests as well as a garden. Bedrooms have nets and fans available if required – though in the cooler weather up here neither are normally needed – and Wifi reception is good throughout the house. This is a quiet, residential location only 15 mins from central Kandy with easy local bus and tuk-tuk (3 wheeler) access. The aspect is north east looking out over an unspoiled valley – through which the great Mahawelli river flows – and towards the iconic Mt Hunas and Knuckles mountains.

If you are looking for quiet and modest rather than luxurious, but comfortable and inspirational accommodation at reasonable charges in a private home, then please ask us for more details and a quote.

♥♥♥ Rainbow B&B Customer Testimonials ♥♥♥

♥ Stayed at this B&B during recent gap year assignments around Kandy and really appreciated the peace and quiet with such stunning panoramic views.  The busy town centre is only 15 mins away and very easy to reach, but this is a different world altogether and recharged my batteries on each visit! Plenty of space, good breakfasts with fresh fruit and a hospitable ex-pat host with long term island connections. Recommended!

♥ Kevin & I spent a wonderful week with Rainbow Tours – a perfect home stay experience with a great ex-Pat host! Hearing the lovely chanting rising up from the temples below in the valley was so beautiful. We fully recommend a truly traditional experience.

♥ This time in Kandy we only stayed one night and opted to stay at the Rainbow Tours recently opened B&B accommodation, which was akin to a homestay: clean and basic with lovely views and a real feeling of authenticity – a truly lovely experience.

♥ We were very happy with our stay at the RT B&B, and feel very privileged to spend such a great time there!

♥ We were looking for a traditional ‘no frills’ guesthouse at a reasonable rate, set in a convenient position and were truly delighted when we discovered this fabulous place! Set in a beautiful location high in the hills of Kandy with stunning far reaching views, the peace and tranquility you experience in these wonderful surroundings belie the fact that you are only 10 minutes by tuk tuk from the hustle and bustle of the centre of town!

This is not a luxury place, but has all the mod cons you may need including wifi and hot water, and offers excellent value for money. Our congenial host was passionate about this gorgeous country and kept us entertained with his tales of ex-pat life in Sri Lanka. He also makes a fabulous and very healthy breakfast!

♥ We visited this traditional private home set in the most beautiful surroundings. Our hospitable host was most welcoming & gave us a great insight into life on this wonderful island. The accommodation is simple, but comfortable with all mod-cons (including good Wi Fi) & represents excellent value. Breakfast is extremely healthy with local produce. All in all this is a highly recommended private home to stay in, just a short tuk tuk ride away from the centre of Kandy.

♥ It was lovely to be staying at the Rainbow Tours B&B away from the city and overlooking the mountains, with lovely breakfasts and recommended restaurants for evening meals including transport.

♥ The Rainbow Tours B&B was fantastic! It is situated in the most perfect spot with stunning views over the hills of Kandy, where each morning you can witness a beautiful sunrise facing towards the Knuckles hills in the distance. It was comfortable, quiet and very spacious but also moderately priced, without being too luxurious.Breakfast was also generous and healthy, with tropical fruits and some home comforts too :)

♥ The two nights stay in the Rainbow Tours B&B in Kandy was a delight – the best fruit we ate in Sri Lanka!

♥ I really enjoyed my stay at the comfortable and laid back Rainbow Tours “Bed & Breakfast Home-stay.” The large and spacious house is located on the edge of Kandy away from noise and pollution on a hilltop with stunning views – only wished I’d had longer to really appreciate it!
