After a 45 year career spanning the law and then upmarket International Tourism, Simon Peter set up Rainbow Tours with Wasantha just before his own retirement on the island in 2011. He first came to Sri Lanka in 1977, when he was employed by British Airways to create and operate their first tourism program here. One of the highlights of his long tourism career was planning the first supersonic weekend packages on Concorde (London/New York) as well as supersonic round the world tours!
He offers the skills of professional tour operating from “behind the scenes” and gives advice that has helped Rainbow Tours transform into one of the top small bespoke tour operators on the island. He receives no remuneration and helps in this way to support the Rainbow Tours team.
